Crypton Super fabrics and Hiatt Furniture
A fundamental problem of furniture is that it gets used - by pets and children, among other offenders - and therefore exposed to spills, stains, odors, mildew and mold. Crypton Super Fabrics and Hiatt Furniture say they have a solution to this ongoing challenge in their line of stain-, moisture- and microbial-resistant Crypton Super Furniture.

Crypton says its furniture's resistance properties "create an incredibly durable combination that allows Crypton to stand up to the challenges of life and promise to be beautiful for years to come. Unlike applied coatings, topical treatments or laminates, Crypton's patented process is engineered right into the fabric, encapsulating every fiber. This prevents moisture, bacteria and stains from ever entering into the fibers and also allows foreign substances to be easily removed from between the fibers' pores, which explains why most stains can be simply wiped away. But perhaps the key to Crypton's performance is its patented moisture barrier that is integrated into the fabric."

Crypton Super Furniture is offered in three collections. "The first is the Cameron collection, an elegant and more traditional collection featuring rich colors and textures," Crypton says. "Cameron consists of the Cameron sofa, a wonderfully rich scatter-back sofa, three chairs, ottomans and one cube. The next is the Devon collection, a tailored, more contemporary collection featuring the Devon sofa and three chairs and ottomans. Lastly is Asher, which serves as the aesthetic bridge between the collections. Transitional, yet with modern and traditional elements, this collection consists of the Asher sofa and three chairs and ottomans."

Already, 50 million yards of Crypton fabric have been installed worldwide, including on furniture in hotels, restaurants, cruise ships and healthcare facilities. A line of EPA-approved upholstery cleaners is available for Crypton and other water-cleanable fabrics.

Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth
Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth describes its DarrenChad Return to Decadence collection as "a resurrection and celebration of some of the world's most beautiful architectural styles and movements, chronicled through some of history's most notorious cultural influences. Inspiration for the new line includes Italy's Medici family, Louis XIII and the Catalonia region of Spain."

The collection was designed by Darren Godbee and Chad Welch, who launched their lifestyle brand in 2006. In addition to furniture, DarrenChad offers home decor items, jewelry and interior design services. Together, they "have decorated and furnished some of the Southeast's finest and most expensive homes," DarrenChad says. "Their style is unmistakable."

The Return to Decadence collection includes sofas, ottomans, daybeds, chairs and cocktail tables. It is manufactured by Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth in Highpoint, N.C. For more information, visit www.darrenchad.com.

Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry
Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry says it is trying to capture a "carefree" attitude in its new line of cabinets that brings to mind "cowboy boots and cocktail dresses; thick, juicy steaks on the grill; bloodhounds by your favorite leather chair; fly fishing and rugged natural materials." Saddle Chic cabinetry combines flush inset Vintage and Singleton styles with arch door styles in maple with a "chocolate frost."

Its kitchen features include a double pull-out with a spice organizer, a built-in beverage center housing a Sub-Zero wine cooler, and glass-fronted cabinets. Other features for the home are armoires sized for sports equipment and coolers, and an under-seat built-in doghouse. "We're all working long, hard hours; now we want a place to kick back and relax," notes Vince Achey, vice president of sales and marketing. "The kitchen is generally the first place we head to when we want to get back to the simple pleasures with friends and family." For more information, visit www.plainfancycabinetry.com
